Topics can include:

  • the research process using the online catalog 
  • doing research in a discipline  
  • using electronic journal indexes
  • the differences between web searching and electronic journal indexes.
    Instruction sessions could be:
  • entire classes coming to the library for a session
  • consultation sessions for students set up during non-class hours
  • working with a librarian to develop a library assignment 
  • library exercises or tutorials 
  • anything librarians and instructors can dream up
