Library Research Computers
The library reference area and library atrium, on the west side of the main floor, house 22 PCs. Five additional PCs are located on the second floor and the basement. Four PCs in the reference area are open to the public and the rest require BU login. No food or drink allowed near computers, for more information please see Food and Drink Policy and Computer Use Policy. Patrons may print to a networked laser printer with BU Quick Card or Copy Card at $.08 per page. Patrons may also save research results to a personal disk/drive, or email results to the patrons' accounts.
Library Computer Lab (formerly MIC lab)
The LibLab, located on the northeast side of the main floor (next to Technology HelpDesk), contains 38 PCs and 6 Macs. Besides standard software packages such as MS Office, LibLab PCs also have some special software such as nursing software packages for nursing classes and SPSS for statistics. Patrons may print to a networked laser printer with BU Quick Card or Copy Card at $.08 per page.
E-mail Bank
The E-Mail Bank is located near the Laptop Desk on the east side of the main floor with seven PCs. Also, a scanner is connected to a PC for use with Microsoft Photo Editor in this area.
Laptop Computers
Windows-based laptop computers are available for 4-hour check-out to Bradley students from the Laptop Desk, and to general public from the Circulation Desk. MS Office has been installed and Internet access and printing is available via a wireless network. Bradley students are required to have a valid Bradley ID and general public are required to have a valid public library card or I-Share borrower's card. First time general public borrowers must show two forms of ID, one of which should be a picture ID. Laptop equipment can only be used within the library building and is available on a first come first served basis. A $0.25 per minute late fee is assessed for the late return of a laptop.
Packard Room
The Packard Room, located in the southwest corner of the lower-level, is used for training sessions and seminars. It contains 16 (one for instruction and 15 for trainee usage) PCs.
