The Simpson Curriculum Materials Center was dedicated in 1990 through the generous support of Howard M. and Kathryn Jacquin Simpson. Its purpose isto provide education students and other interested persons with examples of textbooks, reference books, children's literature, and teaching materials used in elementary and secondary schools. The collection consists of over 8,900 materials, such as textbooks on the following topics: health, language arts, mathematics, music, phonics, reading, science, social studies and family & consumer science. The center also has a variety of children's literature, games, software, kits, manipulatives, and an Ellison lettering machine. The CMC includes a wide array of materials and services to enhance curriculum development and design.

Testing materials are shelved in secure cabinets alphabetically by title. Examples may be seen here. Special permission is required to borrow these items. Contact the CMC Coordinator Michelle Viel at x2829 or mviel@bradley.edu once authorization is received from an Education faculty member.

Other secured materials such as the games and manipulatives may only be checked out from the CMC Desk by a CMC staff member. (See hours below.)
