Circulation

Circulation is what librarians call checking out and returning Library materials. The Circulation Desk, which is just inside the front door to the right, is where you go to borrow Cullom-Davis Library material and pick up items that have been ordered from another library. You would also go there if you want to have us look for a missing book or if want to pay a fine. This desk is always staffed when the Library is open. Phone: Circulation Desk: 309-677-2825; Renewal Desk: 677-2826.

Reserves

Reserves are the course-related materials that have been brought to the Library by an instructor for use by students. The materials placed on Reserves must adhere to current copyright law. For the most part, these items consist of books, photocopies of articles, homework solutions, sample tests and lecture videotapes. More information on Reserves. Phone: 309-677-3315.

Laptop Computers

Windows-based laptop computers are available for 4-hour check-out to Bradley students from the Laptop Desk, and to general public from the Circulation Desk. MS Office has been installed and Internet access and printing is available via a wireless network. Bradley students are required to have a valid Bradley ID and general public are required to have a valid public library card or I-Share borrower's card. First time general public borrowers must show two forms of ID, one of which should be a picture ID. Laptop equipment can only be used within the library building and is available on a first come first served basis. A $15/hour late fee is assessed for the late return of a laptop. Phone: 309-677-3315.

Requesting from an I-Share Library

If you need a book that is not at Bradley you may request the title directly from the I-Share Catalog, the union catalog of the consortium of academic libraries in Illinois. It normally takes 5 - 7 working days for the materials to be delivered to Bradley. Universal Borrowing items are picked up and checked out at Bradley library's Circulation Desk. Loan periods and other policies are decided by lending libraries. You can also visit an I-Share member library and check out materials with your Bradley ID.

Inter-library Loan

Periodical articles not available at the Bradley Library and books and other materials not available via Universal Borrowing are usually available through Interlibrary Loan in accordance with interlibrary cooperative agreements Bradley's library has with other libraries. The conditions of the book loans, including the length of the loan, are set by the lending library. Photocopies of journal articles are usually supplied in lieu of loans of the journal. Phone: 309-677-2837.

Document Delivery

Document Delivery is a courier service available only to Bradley Faculty. Document Delivery workers will deliver or retrieve books, journal articles, and other materials to and from faculty offices. More information on Document Delivery. Phone: 309-677-3550.

View Your Library Account and Renew Online

Bradley students, faculty, and staff with an active Library account can log into "MyAccount" from the library catalog, to view the books checked out, due dates, the status of Universal Borrowing items, and to renew books online.  To logon you will need the barcode number (don’t include the “A’s”) on the back of your Bradley ID.  Be sure to pick Bradley University from the drop down list and enter your last name in the appropriate box.  If you have any problems, call the Circulation Desk, 677-2825.
